Since I'm supposed to be studying... but it's hard getting back into the groove, I've decided to post a random event that happened in my life. I think I'll do these more often.

One day, while working at my Baskin Robbins store, two middle aged women came into the store. They were looking for a cake. After a quick moment at the cake display freezer, they emerged with a small chocolate ice cream cake. They came up to me while giggling and I asked them what they wanted written on it. The red head said, "I want Happy Divorce Mary Anne written on it", while the white haired lady was laughing out loud. I was a little shocked. I think my mouth was gaping as I tried to take in what she just said. I then responded with, "Well, not every day do I get to write that on a cake!" They both bursted out laughing and the red head told me, "You better get used to it, because you know, these things are happening more and more frequently." I then wrote "Happy Divorce Mary Anne" on the cake but added an exclamation mark. I then showed them the cake, and they left the store laughing like 2 crazy Hyenas.

That definitely made my day!

What do you think of AP's Melty Chocolate?

So, I have a question. What do you think of Melty Chocolate? I know 2 people who've told me their thoughts, they both didn't hate it, but didn't like it at the same time either.

I checked daily lolita, but maybe I haven't looked far enough, but I only saw 1 person taking pictures while wearing that print. Is it really THAT unpopular or did all the lolitas buy it who are not apart of the community?

I am currently waiting on my melty chocolate I purchased at the end of Sept. The shipping from AP to the central AP store is taking a long time. I got my first invoice, but I purchased other items one day after and haven't gotten my 2nd invoice yet. I mean, don't get me wrong, I definitely need the time to rally up more money for my next invoice + shipping, but now I'm wondering how long it's going to take to receive my dress overall. (Probably by the time nobody cares about that print anymore and I wouldn't be able to sell it for the same price I got it if it didn't fit!!) Maybe I should have gotten the Vampire Requiem print instead, that way I would have gotten it much sooner and worry a lot less.

I'm hoping it's not too loose in the chest... we'll see what happens.
OMG I JUST HAD THE WORST HAIRCUT EVER.

I normally get my haircut in China town, SF, but since I haven't been to SF lately, I had decided to get my haircut else where close to my work place or home. I remember there was a hair salon in the back of my work place and I decided to yelp them and saw some great reviews.

When I first walked into Excellent Hair Salon, I asked the lady at the front counter what the prices were for a haircut. She stood up, walked around me while touching/feeling my hair and decided she would charge me $25. I agreed, although hesitantly because I normally get my haircut in SF for $17.

Well she gave my hair a quick rinse, so that my hair was wet, and then she chopped away at it. I asked her not to cut my hair too short because I was growing it out. She then asked me if I wanted long or short layers, and I told her long. I didn't know what she meant by long or short by the way, and I ended up with like no layers at all. She then asked what kind of bangs did I want. I told her I wanted a fringe, although normally my barber (Is that what you call a guy hairstylist?) cuts my bangs into a fake fringe and then it grows out into side bangs. I didn't know if she could do this or not, so I felt safe with just a fringe. Well, big mistake. I ended up getting a really choppy and slanted fringe. I told her my fringe was longer on one side and she asked me if I wanted it shorter. I told her yes and that I wanted my bangs to curve down on the sides instead of just being straight across.

Kind of like this...

I'm sure she did the best she could, but I felt like crying. (I used to think the girls who cry after they got a bad haircut needed to suck it up, but now I totally understand because it finally happened to me.)

When she was about to remove my apron, I was fussing with my bangs and said, "Oh shit" under my breath and I'm not sure if it really happened, but my eyes might have been a little bit watery. (I was really holding it back because I didn't want to embarrass her or myself.) The salon owner must had noticed my uncomfortableness or how bad my bangs were since she came by and decided she would help "fix" the problem while the lady who originally cut my hair told her in Vietnamese that I was being really picky about it. (She didn't know I could understand some Vietnamese.)

Anyway, in the end, I still ended up with a slanted fringe, with some shorter pieces in the middle.

Kind of like this...

I think I should go back and ask them to fix it for free because it was definitely not worth my $25 + tip. WHY DID I GIVE THEM TIP AGAIN? I don't know, I guess I honestly felt bad for the lady too.
BTSSB Grand Opening

I did managed to eventually get there, just in time for them to run out of tickets, like... 3 hrs ago. Although I didn't mind at all, I unfortunately had to wait in a huge line which stretched for a few blocks and around a building. Luckily, the line was actually not that long. It looked very long to the eye, but the wait was actually only 20-30 minutes. As I stood in line, I was blessed enough to see the Black Peace Now fashion show, which started right as I got in line and ended as I got into the building.

I got into the building and the first thing I saw was a small cafe to the right and what looked to be a miscellaneous shop in front of me. I took a few steps forward into the miscellaneous shop, but only to turn back and headed straight for the stairs. I took a quick look around after I got into the 2nd floor and the first thing I saw was a huge line with a bunch of ruffle butts holding all sorts of Baby clothing right in front of me. I was a little confused with the layout because the 2nd floor consisted of 3 shops in one. Directly front/right of me I saw a display of hot pink and white bags with stars on them and some more brightly colored accessories. At the very end of the right side was obviously Black Peace Now with all their shelves packed with clothing in solid black with minimal splashes of white here and there. As I walked back towards the left side of the entrance, I went into a red gate and found a carousel and very brightly colored accessories displayed on tables, without a doubt it was 6%dokidoki, but not what I was looking for. Where was Baby?

I headed towards the line, just in time to notice a very familiar face. OMG it was Marian! I poked her, hoping she would notice me as she was speaking to a girl behind her. She was happy to see me too, we exchanged a few words and I said hello to her boyfriend, Andrew, then I excitedly asked her where the Baby store was. She pointed past the BTSSB counter in front of her where I spotted Akinori Isobe helping the counter girl packaging a purchase. Basically BTSSB was sharing the other half of the floor with 6%dokidoki and there were so many people packed into that 1/4th side of the floor that I didn't even notice it. I even had to go into 6%dokidoki and through the front window display just to get to the BTSSB side.

(Marian and I. Behind us is the crowd of people in front of the BTSSB counter. No pictures in the store WHOOPS.)

There, I saw multiple groups of people. Some people in line to get into a fitting room, a group of older women sitting on the purse displays in front of the BTSSB counter, obviously waiting for their daughters, and others in front of the socks/accessories display. It was very crowded. I had two blouses in hand eventually, but as I got into line for the fitting room, I immediate got out as it looked like it was going to be a very long wait. What was worse was the actual purchasing line, the line went all the way into the BPN side and I decided a pair of socks was definitely not worth it to get into THAT.

I went back to BPN, away from all the craziness and back to the more peaceful side. I decided to take a look around this time instead of just standing there, dumbfounded, wondering where Baby was previously. I found two one pieces and asked the beautiful lady in front of the counter (where there was an non-existent line), if I could try them on. I immediately got a fitting room and fell in love with one of the two that I tried on. Unfortunately it was $240, and my funds were low so I hesitantly put it back into the shelf. I swear, if it's still there the next time I go back, it'll be mine.

Then I went back down into the miscellaneous shop and as I was looking around, suddenly, I saw a group of people rushing pass me towards the entrance. There, amidst a group of cameramen and reporters, stood a beautiful woman in a kimono. I had no idea who she was at the time and took a few shots of her with my camera. Later on, Marian told me she was an actress, but I still don't know what her name was.

(Displays in the Miscellaneous shop. OMG blythe.)

(Leopard deer.)

(MOOR cute deer!!)

(Actress from 20th Century Boys or something like that.)

That was basically the more exciting part of my day. I later walked around the malls, ate and went into Kinokuniya to run into Andrea and Adam. I also saw a bunch of people from the forums like smileysquid and others which I didn't know their user names, but recognized their faces. Overall I had fun although it would have been nice to see more familiar faces.

(I leave you with me and Hello Kitty.)
BTSSB Black Listed?

A few weeks ago, I decided I wanted a BTSSB lucky pack so I ordered one along with some plain black socks. They sent me an email confirmation for just the socks and had the message "You cannot order regular items with a lucky pack." Being tired and confused, I thought the email was for the total of both the socks and lucky pack and that they canceled my order because I had ordered other items besides a lucky pack. At that point i was kind of relieved because I needed to buy a text book and I needed money for the HK MAC event. I deleted the email from my inbox.

Little did I know, 10 days later and I received an email telling me that because I failed to pay for my items, it was unfortunate, but I would be black listed. In my attempt to resolve this misunderstanding. I sent them an email telling them that I thought my order was canceled and that I reconsidered purchasing the items because I didn't feel it was justified to pay for shipping twice. (Especially since the socks were $20 and the shipping for them was $15. )

Immediately after wards, they then sent me an email saying that they could not accept such a one sided reason and that i was causing trouble for other customers who wanted a lucky pack. It would be difficult for them to deal with me in the future and that I was not being a responsible buyer. I was really confused. At this point I checked my trash folder and found my email confirmation for the socks. In addition, there was a second email grouped with the first one for my lucky pack, but I did not see this second email because I deleted the first one from my inbox. At this point, i figured that I would probably not be able to order from BTSSB again. I was very hurt because of this and felt like nobody could help me. I lost a privilege and I was very disappointed in myself because I should have paid more attention. I thought it was all my fault.

Later that night, i told a friend of mine, Betty, what happened and she told me it would be best to call BTSSB and tell them my situation. It seemed like a big misunderstanding to her. I thought about this, but I needed not only a phone card, but a fluently speaking Japanese person as well. I did not know of any.

Fortunately, at 1AM that night, I started looking down my buddy list from high school. This was when I decided to IM Lisa. I asked Lisa if she knew of any Japanese speaking friends since she studied different languages at UCD. She told me, in fact, she had a friend who is from Japan and that she could ask him to help me out since they were meeting up tomorrow anyway. She got the gist of my situation and sent him a copy of a letter she wrote for me to BTSSB. This letter was translated in Japanese and then was forwarded back to me with brief English translation the next day. I had the gist of the letter, but I was not sure how it was exactly written. I sent the Japanese version to BTSSB anyway praying that it would get me un-blacklisted.

I waited anxiously for the next email. I feared they would tell me off again and that I would remain black-listed. I felt anxious for the rest of the day. Later that night, I finally received a response from BTSSB. They told me they felt very negative towards dealing with customers who do not read the rules and that this was the first time they have dealt with anyone who did not understand the meaning of email confirmations, but besides that fact, they wanted to know what would i like to do with the order. I was kind of confused. I thought I was black listed, and that the lucky packs were sold out. I figured the Japanese translated letter must have said I would still like to purchase my items. I asked lisa what I should do, and we both figured they probably still had my lucky pack waiting to be shipped or why would they ask me what I wanted to do with the order? I decided to just buy the lucky pack if they could cancel the order for my socks. BTSSB replied saying they could do this, but one time only and that I should send my payment for the lucky pack immediately. I did as I was told, but I now have some regrets about buying that lucky pack. I am out $180 more than I wanted to be presently and I felt like I was obligated to buy it since I didn't want to be black-listed. I did not like the way they responded to my emails either, I mean, I guess I deserved it, but it was pretty harsh.

In conclusion, I just hope I get something good and not the worst LP ever because this would certainly not have been worth it. Also I don't even know if I am still black listed. I guess I will find out with my next order, that is... if I ever order from them again.
